President Uhuru Kenyatta formally opens the Fourth Annual Devolution Conference 2017 at Kenya Wild Life Service Training Institute in Naivasha.

The conference whose theme: ” Devolution -Transforming  lives: Tell your story!” will end on Thursday with  Deputy President William Ruto expected to close  the event.

Nyamira Governor, H.E. John Nyagarama is among Governors who attended the annual event.

 Day one on Monday   was marked with arrivals and setting up of   booths  by exhibitors from counties and other  national agencies.  Over 7,000 delegates are expected  to attend the conference which was held in Meru last year. Kwale  County hosted the first conference in 2014 with Kisumu staging  the second in 2015.

Archbishop Ndingi  Secondary  School  was a beehive of activities  with delegates  converging for accreditation and issuance of  car passes to be able to access the conference  venue.

Security  to the venue of the conference was restricted to only  vehicles with passes. Those without the stickers were turned away.

The Nakuru-Nairobi  Highway   in Naivasha had portrays  of  47 Governors mounted along the road welcoming them to the event by their host Governor  Kinuthia Mbugua.
