NYAMIRA COUNTY PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD

The mandate of the Board is contained in section 59 of the County Government Acts 2012. These include establishing and abolishing offices

in the County Public Service, appointing persons who hold and act in offices of the Public service among others.

Achievements

For the time the Board has been in office it has managed to put in place critical structures to enable the County Government to operate efficiently

Targets

To ensure that all the Departments have adequate staff to enable them deliver services.

Projects

  1. Development of appropriate policies, values , standards, systems and processes inhuman resource management and development
  2. Capacity development and management of human resource

Event

The Board is currently undertaking recruitment of staff for the department of public works and that of Finance and Planning.

NAME: PETER NYAKUNDI

DESIGNATION: CHAIRMAN

Mr. Nyakundi is an alumna of Nairobi University where he graduated in 1979, acquired a bachelor Degree in Public Administration and later attended various courses in human resource management.

NAME: BEATRICE MOKEIRA SIRIBAH

DESIGNATION: VICE CHAIRPERSON

 

NAME: ROBERT MOCHACHE 

DESIGNATION: CEO/SECRETARY

 He is a lawyer by profession and a certified Public Secretary. He also holds a Masters in Business Management (MBA). He has steered the Boards progam and management of the Board’s secretariat since the year 2013 to date.

His roles include giving advice to the Board in various recruitments, assisting in programme development e.g. performance contracting and validation of CARPS Programme and secretariat management. He as also been involved in the establishment of various County offices and on- going recruitment.

NAME: DANIEL M. OSEBE

DESIGNATION: MEMBER OF THE BOARD /

CHAIR – PENSION/ PAYROLL COMMITTEE

He also holds BA, Economics and Masters in Development Administration.

NAME: MARY ACHIRA NYAMWARO

DESIGNATION: MEMBER OF THE BOARD/RECRUITMENT & SELECTION

COMMITTEE/ INTERNAL JUSTICE

 She Holds B.E.D. from Kenyatta University.

She has also done other courses that include:

  • Human Resource Management,
  • Paralegal training and
  • Catholic Justice and peace commission (C.J.P.C) training.

She is the Chair of Internal Justice system committee;

The Internal Justice system committee is concerned with:

  • Public service code of conduct,
  • Ethical codes of conduct,
  • Staff relations,
  • Public officers’ Ethics Act and
  • Internal Justice System/ Mechanism.

Her plea to all public officers is to observe and uphold the Nyamira County Service Board core values:

Commitment, patriotism, professionalism, transparency and accountability, equity and diversity, effective communication, team spirit and respect for authority.
