NYAMIRA LAUNCHES YOUTH DIGITAL TRAINING: Ajira DIgital training in Nyamira county
Nyamira County Government has now joined the league of the country's list of County Governments that have embraced the National Government sponsored programme dubbed "AJIRA Digital Programme".
The programme which has been launched today at a Nyamira Hotel is levelled at empowering the youthful county population with digital skills which will make them self reliant on matters job of creation.
While launching the programme, the County Executive Committee Member incharge of Public Service Management Johnstone Obike Ndege said the training will boost placement of the youthful Nyamira Constituents in the job market and equip them with the required skills to not only be self reliant but also create massive employment oplortunities for those training their eyes on Information related platforms.
"Our youth from across the County will now be self reliant as opposed to being job seekers. This Digital training will equip you fully on matters IT skills development, marching jobs with the required skills, partnering and upping your resource mobilization strategies and above all, offer consumer education", charged Obike.
According to the ECM, the youth trained will eventually be selected to be Trainer of Trainees adding that Governor John Nyagarama's government was keen in doubling her efforts in the enlargement of youth run projects and prudent resource allocations.
Said Obike, "We will fully support our youth realize their degital talents and ensure that the Directorate of Youth empowerment gets the required government backing".
According to the County ICT Director Sibia Nyamweya, the Nyamira youth will have the enormous flexibility of working online from their comfort homes, pick and choose clients, join the unflooded league of high demand for freelancers and enjoy the minimum start-up cost once through with the training.
The Ajira Digital training is set to run for five days at the Borabu Country Inn Hotel with less or minimal interruptions.
Added Sibia, "Our county youth will only require a Computer, reliable internet , payment mode, workplace and a functional email to start earning the benefits using their learned basic computer tools and skills ".

Richard Masore hailed Nyamira County leadership for embracing IT related programmes and added that, with the world speed to making the globe a digital centre, Nyamira has not been left behind.
"From the County's 20 Wards, the trainees who will have succesfully completed the training will be awarded with the ICT Authority of Kenya recognized certification inconjuction with Ajira Digital Kenya and the County Government".Also present to encourage the County youth were the Education and Youth Polytechnic Director Engineer Mecha Masaki and ECDE Director Rachael Okong'o.
