H.E. Governor Amos Nyaribo today appeared before the Senate’s County Public Accounts and Investment Committee (CPAIC) to respond to questions raised by Auditor General Nancy Gathungu on the County's expenditure during the 2018/2019 financial year and the balance of audit reports of prior years at the Kisii County Assembly.
The powerful Senate watchdog committee led by Sen (Dr.) Ochillo Ayacko is investigating how Counties spent public funds allocated for various development projects.
Among the key queries that governor was tasked to shed light on were Returned County Revenue, Cash Balances, Unsupported compensation of employees, Unsupported construction of county headquarters, Lack of Human Resource policy and Lack of risk management policy.
The chair of the Committee (CPAIC) Sen.(Dr.) Ayako thanked the governor for honoring their request to appear before them.
The Governor was accompanied by the County Secretary James Ntabo, County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers and other senior government officers.
