Nyamira County has now a new Executive Committee Member for the Ministry of Health.
Dr Donald Mogoi was sworn-in in a ceremony presided over by Chief magistrate William Chepseba and assisted by the County Attorney Erastus Orina and witnessed by County Governor H.E Amos Nyaribo.
The Governor welcomed the new CECM and urged him to ensure the department offered adequate and efficient services to the public.
“This is the beginning of reforming the County health sector. We took a lot of time to research on who will best manage this department before arriving at you. Now that you are at the helm, we will give you enough support to deliver good health services to our people,” the Governor told the new appointee.
He said Dr Mogoi who was working at Laikipia County before getting his new appointment had a wide experience in administration and therefore a lot was expected of him in transforming health department.
The department has been under the management of Mr Benard Maina who also doubled as the CECM for Trade.
In his acceptance speech at the Governor’s boardroom, Dr Mogoi thanked the Governor from appointing him and promised to go an extra mile to deliver in his mandate.
“I thank the Governor for having confidence in me by appointing me to this position. This is the biggest docket I have been entrusted to serve. I will do my best in terms of services deliveries.
