Supporting the needy is noble, Says Governor Nyagarama.

Nyamira County Governor has called for continued support to vulnerable groups on food aid more so to the vulnerable members of the community.

Speaking after receiving food donations from Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nyamira Chapter, Hon Nyagarama said that such contributions matter more so at this time that Kenyans are undergoing harsh economic times brought about by the Corona Virus pandemic.

“Remember, so as to succeed in the fight against corona virus, we all have to join hands,” said the Governor.

“These donations will be distributed to the vulnerable groups composed of the blind, the aged, the deaf, the physically challenges, orphans and other needy cases,” he added.

The Chamber was represented by its chairman Robert Obegi among other members.

The donations included 71 bales of cooking flour, 30 boxes of washing soap a bundle of masks and salt.

Other business community members and groups within Nyamira have over time given their support generously including Corner shop, Boflos, Robsons and Mogeni Tea Factory.

One acre fund donated 30 five hundred- litre water tanks. The tanks will be used to make hand washing booths in all market places within Nyamira County.

Governor Nyagarama also promised to give 150 bales of maize flour which will go in hand to help the vulnerable in society.

The governor added that his administration will endeavor to support such business entities.
