Israel promises to support Nyamira’s economy through renewable energy.

The head of Israel’s Economic Mission to Kenya Mr. Arnon Abel visited Nyamira County in a renewed energy for partnership between Israel and the County government of Nyamira.  

With his delegation, he was received by CECM in charge of Agriculture, Livestock development and fisheries Mrs. Peris Mong'are and held discussions before visiting several projects across the county with the aim of exploring several areas of partnership including sharing on agricultural and medical technology.

The two leaders shared on a wide range of investment opportunities available. Mr. Abel expressed confidence in the many opportunities available for Israel's participation, and more particularly singled out the upcoming Integrated Agro- Industrial Business Park at Sironga that will provide numerous opportunities to work upon. 

“I encourage the County government of Nyamira to invest more on technology in Agriculture and in the healthcare sector,” said Abel adding that he was elated by the extent at which the County is aggressively pursuing programs that will ensure a boost in those areas.

The CECM for Trade and tourism, Mr. Samuel Maiko also shared on the available opportunities in the department of trade, saying that the County government is ready to work with Israel on various programs. 

“I urge the Israel embassy to support the County’s water projects in an effort to aid the county's objective in achieving increased access to clean and safe water for Agriculture, domestic use and industrialization,” said Maiko adding that the County government is in plans to provide water to its residents through the various water projects in the county.

Also present in the meeting were Mrs. Lidya Momanyi- Chief Officer Agriculture, Mr. Nathaniel Mong'are- The investments and Economic advisor among others.
