Nyamira governor H.E Amos Nyaribo together with the Interior Cs Dr Fred Matiang'i attended a church service at Ekerubo SDA Church in Kemera ward, Kitutu Masaba constituency. The Cs was accompanied by Nyamira senator senior Counsel Okong'o, county Mp Hon Jerusha Momanyi, county commissioner Mr Amos Mariba, Principal Chief Mrs Jane among other leaders. In the second time, Cs Fred Matiang'i urged all Gusii leaders to work together, shun divisive politics and work towards developing the two counties. He again spoke about the ongoing Nyamira county politics that has seen delay in appointment of the deputy governor, and termed the process primitive.
While speaking at Ekerubo, H.E Amos Nyaribo appreciated Cs Matiang'i's efforts in pushing for the development agenda in the region. In a more specific way, the governor spoke about the Sironga Agro Industrial Business Park and the projected Kiendege airport, projects which the Interior Cs's hand is conspicuous. He further urged all Gusii leaders to support Dr Matiang'i, and focus on the bigger picture. The issues of unity were equally echoed by Okong'o Omogeni and Women rep Jerusha Momanyi.
Later the Governor led the team to the county assembly buildings, where the building collapsed two days ago. Cs Matiang'i assured residents that all government urgencies are working towards establishing the course of the disaster, and vowed to ensure that culprits face the law. At the same time, Governor Nyaribo urged the multi-urgency team to move with speed to in coming up with the report.
